Statement of Common Beliefs

 
Bible: The divine inspiration and consequent authority of the whole canonical Scripture (2 Tim. 3:16-17, 2 Pet. 1:21)

God: The doctrine of the Trinity – Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Deut. 6:4, 2 Cor. 13:14)

Man: The fall of man, his consequent moral depravity and his need for regeneration (Rom. 3:23, 6:23, Eph. 2:1-3)

Salvation: The atonement through the substitutionary death of Christ (1 Pet. 3:18)

Faith: The doctrine of justification by faith (Eph. 2:8-9, Rom. 5:1, 10:9-10)

Church: The church, the body of Christ, as consisting of all believers of Jesus Christ (Col.1:18, 24, Eph. 5:25-27. Acts 2)

Resurrection: The resurrection of the body, both of the just and the unjust (Heb. 9:27)

Eternity: The eternal life of the saved and the eternal punishment of the lost (2 Cor. 5:10, Rev. 20:15)

Life: Life begins at conception and ends in natural death (Gen. 1:27, Ps. 139:13-16)

Marriage: The sacred covenant of marriage between one man and one woman (Gen. 2:24, Matt. 19:5)
